Vila Nova de Cerveira is a beautiful village in the Northwest border of Portugal, where Minho River separates and connects Portugal and Spain.

Vila Nova de Cerveira was founded in 1320 by the King D. Dinis. Historic village, Vila Nova de Cerveira is known for its strong focus on culture, in part motivated by its prestigious International Biennial of Art, which attracts many visitors and renowned national and international artists, held since 1978.

Overlooking the Minho River and the Spanish border to the village Goian, Vila Nova de Cerveira has beautiful houses of the XVII and XVIII centuries lining the narrow streets and the a relaxing atmosphere enhances its charm.
