The Animal Facility of Aquatic Organisms (Boga) of CIIMAR, will be hold the 2nd edition of the training course "Laboratory Animal in Science of - Aquatic Organisms (CAL-AQUA)", between 16th to 18th and 23rd to 25th of July 2012.
The aim of the course is offering skills to everyone that will work with live experimentation models, considering the respect for animals and for their contribution to research progress and its open to researchers, PhD or master students, who wish to use aquatic organisms for experimental or other scientific purposes.
This course will emphasize specifically in the use of aquatic species as experimental models, mainly focusing in the vertebrate species. The course program is accordingly with D.G.A.V. and FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations) guidelines for Laboratory Animal Sciences courses, category B. Attending the course successfully will allow to require for a "Research" or "Research Technician" certification to perform animal experimentation.
