Details
The ITOPF R&D Award provides financial support for projects aimed at enhancing our knowledge and understanding of issues related to accidental marine pollution from ships. Funding: Up to £60,000 is available for short-term projects (1-2 years) and up to £40,000 for PhD projects (plus a student stipend and a contribution towards university fees). Applications are invited from all academic disciplines, although preference will be given to those with an applied scientific focus, such as marine biology, chemistry, ecology, physics, engineering and economics. The call opens on 1 September 2025.
