CIIMAR launches the 5th edition of its Scientific Photography Contest, inviting its community to capture science beyond data. This initiative celebrates the moments, environments, and details that shape the research carried out at CIIMAR.

Why participate?

This contest aims to showcase science from a visual perspective, encouraging researchers, students, and staff to translate the scientific work into powerful photographic narratives. Selected photographs will become part of CIIMAR’s institutional image collection, with full authorship credit.

Eligibility

Participation is exclusive to CIIMAR members. All members are welcome to submit photographs that reflect scientific activity, fieldwork, laboratory work, or the natural systems studied within the scope of action of CIIMAR, highlighting their relevance, diversity, and complexity.

• Submission deadline: February 15, 11:59 PM

• Winners announcement: February 28, during CIIMAR’s 26th anniversary celebrations
