CIIMAR launches mentorship programme to support postdoctoral researchers’ career development

Five CIIMAR postdoctoral researchers will have the opportunity to receive personalised career guidance through a six-month mentorship programme. Applications are open until 7 September.

CIIMAR has launched a new mentorship programme aimed at supporting the career development of its postdoctoral researchers. The initiative will provide tailored guidance to help participants reflect on their professional goals, explore different career pathways and make informed decisions about their future.

The programme is open to five postdoctoral researchers and offers a unique opportunity to work closely with an experienced career mentor with a scientific background over a six-month period.

Each selected participant will benefit from two one-to-one mentoring sessions, designed to address individual career aspirations, identify opportunities for professional growth and discuss strategies for career planning both within and beyond academia.

Participants will be selected based on the motivation statement submitted with their application. Researchers who are not selected for this edition will be placed on a waiting list for future cohorts.

How to apply

Applications are open until 7 September 2026.

The selected participants will be announced on 16 September 2026.

Postdoctoral researchers interested in joining the programme should complete the application form before the deadline.
