Pedro Leão, Coordinator of CIIMAR’s Marine Biotechnology thematic line, has been unanimously selected for the category of Coordinating Researcher, following an international external recruitment competition. With this selection, Pedro Leão joins the highest category of the scientific research career in Portugal, becoming the first Coordinating Researcher at CIIMAR. This position is reserved for researchers with a high level of scientific merit, experience in coordinating research groups, and a strong record of internationally relevant original research.
In addition to leading the Marine Biotechnology thematic line, Pedro Leão is also Principal Investigator in the Cyanobacterial Natural Products group.
