The CIIMAR researcher Vânia Freitas has been appointed as the new scientific and technical coordinator of the Matosinhos Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation Center (CMIA). Vânia brings extensive experience and expertise, particularly in the field of coastal and estuarine ecosystem ecology.

The CMIA Matosinhos is a municipal facility scientifically coordinated by CIIMAR, which aims to contribute to the development of environmental education and monitoring initiatives.
