CIIMAR expresses its deepest condolences on the passing of Paulo Talhadas dos Santos, a professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP) and a researcher at CIIMAR since its foundation.
Throughout his career, he devoted himself to the study of ecology, marine and estuarine biology, the management and conservation of natural resources, and environmental education – fields in which he made a significant scientific contribution. He was also a committed advocate for environmental causes, recognised for his dedication to the protection of nature.
CIIMAR extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and all those who shared his personal and professional journey with him.
