Name: Rui Batista

Rui Batista is the Field Application Scientist of ThermoFisher Scientific and is responsible for the technical/scientific support for Real-Time/Digital PCR and Sample Preparation products.
His background includes basic/applied research and molecular diagnosis work experience. It ranges from Peroxisome biogenesis, Fabry disease, Thyroid, bladder and melanoma cancer research which allowed participation in 35 scientific publications. In 2016 founded a start-up company (U-Monitor) and was responsible for the implementation of IVD and LDT tests on the market.
