Title:Application of Imaging Flow Cytometry protocols for studies in aquatic biology

maging Flow Cytometry (IFC) combines the power of flow cytometry and fluorescent microscopy to study cells and their functions. The image analyses help to understand cell features and describe different cell phenotypes. Though IFC has already been applied in certain disciplines of mammalian biology, its application in aquatic biology is still in its infancy. I will present some of the IFC protocols developed for studying fish cells, microorganisms, and microplastics.

The seminar will take place at CIIMAR headquarters (Boca da Baleia Auditorium).
