XV Edition of “At the Speed ​​of the Sun”, in Vila do Conde

On May 20th, the CMIA of Vila do Conde was filled with energy to welcome dozens of students from schools in Maia, Matosinhos and Vila do Conde, as part of the Municipal Race “At the Speed ​​of the Sun” organized by AdEPorto – Porto Energy Agency. It was a day full of solar cars and fun about the importance of renewable energy.
The CMIA congratulates all participating students, and especially the winners from Vila do Conde, and wishes them all the best for the final. The Intermunicipal Final will be on May 29th, in Matosinhos.

Classifications of schools in Vila do Conde:
1st Echelon
The José Régio State School with the solar car “4 patas”, won 2nd place and secured its place in the Intermunicipal Final. 2nd Echelon
Vila do Conde dominated the podium, with all participants qualifying for the next phase.
1st Place: Colégio Estadual José Régio, with the “Tareco” car
2nd Place: Escola Profissional de Vila do Conde, with the “Solar EPVC” ​​car
3rd Place: Escola José Régio, with the “Transformer” car

We would like to thank all the students, teachers, schools and AdE Porto who made this event a success. The CMIA of Vila do Conde and the Municipality of Vila do Conde reinforce their support for initiatives such as “À Velocidade do Sol”, which, in such a fun and educational way, raise awareness among young people about the urgency and importance of renewable energy.
