Details: 

  • Focus on research projects that explore the interactions between climate change and biodiversity in ocean and coastal ecosystems. This initiative aims to enhance our understanding of these critical environments to inform effective conservation and adaptation strategies.
  • Funding Scope: Supports research projects that investigate the interactions between climate change and biodiversity in ocean and coastal ecosystems.
  • Grant Amount: A total of €7 million is allocated to fund between 7 and 15 projects over a three-year period (2026–2028).
  • Application Period: open until May 4, 2025.
  • Application Requirements: Proposals should demonstrate:
    • Scientific Merit: Innovative research addressing significant questions about the interactions between climate change and biodiversity in marine and coastal contexts.
    • Feasibility: A clear, achievable plan outlining objectives, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
