This episode will focus on the Portuguese Blue Biobank project, a national network of marine biobanks led by CIIMAR.
Throughout the episode, particular attention will be given to the three CIIMAR collections that are part of the project: the LEGE-CC Collection, the CM2C Collection, and the DeepBiobank Collection. The value of these marine biological collections and their applications in science and industry will be highlighted.
Interviews in this episode include Vitor Vasconcelos, the project’s scientific manager Iris Sampaio, and researchers Ana Paula Mucha and Joana Xavier.
