CIIMAR signs the Portuguese Charter for Diversity

CIIMAR signed the Portuguese Charter for Diversity with the support of the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion.

On 4 April, CIIMAR signed the Portuguese Charter for Diversity, formalizing its membership of the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion.

The Charter for Diversity

The Charter for Diversity is an initiative of the European Commission that is presented as a voluntary instrument designed to encourage employers to adopt and promote internal policies and practices aimed at valuing diversity.

This Charter is based on the fundamental principle of Diversity, understood as recognising, respecting and valuing the differences between individuals. These differences include, but are not limited to, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, belief, geographical origin, culture, language, nationality, ancestry, age, political or social ideology, marital status, family background, economic status, health, disability, lifestyle and educational background.

CIIMAR recognition of diversity

The aim of this charter is for the diversity policies implemented at CIIMAR to recognise, understand and value both the elements that bring us together and those that set us apart, seeing this plurality as an opportunity to foster innovation, improve problem-solving, strengthen customer orientation, stimulate creativity and promote employee involvement.

By adhering to this Charter, CIIMAR commits to integrating Diversity as a core ethical value, incorporating it as a central pillar of its institutional culture and practices, both internal and external.
