Maria de Fátima Machado has a degree and master’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Since January 2020, she has been working in the Natural Products Research laboratory at the ICBAS. The area of scientific activity focuses on the isolation, purification, and structural elucidation of secondary metabolites of marine fungi, including their bioactivity.
