The Institut des Hautes Etudes de l’Entreprise (IHEE) chose CIIMAR as host for its 23rd Annual Session on 9 February.
This visit provided the opportunity for the delegation to grasp in an immersive way how CIIMAR supports the development of a sustainable blue economy while tackling important societal challenges, fostering the consolidation of collaborative practices between scientific, technological, higher education entities, and the social and economic sector.
After a general presentation of CIIMAR activities by Vitor Vasconcelos, the participants got a glimpse of four research projects, namely BlueBio4Future by Pedro Leão, Ignition by Benjamin Costas, Maelstrom by Luís Vieira and BlueForesting by Marina Dolbeth.
The Annual Session, IHEE’s flagship programme, enables its participants from various backgrounds (companies, administration, elected officials, media, justice, army, teaching-research, trade unions, etc.) to cross their views on business, to take a step back, to confront themselves with other models and to share their experiences and skills.
