The final Workshop of the EsCo-Ensembles project will take place on June 28, 2022, at APDL, Auditorio Infante D. Henrique, Marina de Leça, Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos, Portugal.
This event is organized in the scope of the EsCo-Ensembles research project, funded by FCT and developed by the University of Porto (CIIMAR) and the University of Minho (CTAC).
In the EsCo-Ensembles project, advanced modelling techniques were developed to improve hydro-morphodynamic forecasts in estuaries. These methodologies were applied to two Portuguese estuaries, the Douro and Minho estuaries, to simulate their current and future states, including flood situations and extreme sea level conditions for different climate-change scenarios.
The main objective of the Workshop is the creation of a multidisciplinary environment where a comprehensive view of present and future challenges for the management of estuarine regions can be achieved. The main results of the project will be presented and their implications for the present and future management of these water bodies will be discussed.
