Konrad Viehrig graduated obtained his PhD at Saarland University in 2016, with the thesis topic “Genome Mining for Natural Products in Chondromyces crocatus”. As a postdoc, he joined the research group “Synthetic Biology tools for Yeast” at CfB/DTU in Copenhagen, Denmark. Later, he he worked in the group “Natural products from Actinobacteria” at UF/Scripps in Florida. In 2022, he joined CNP at CIIMAR for natural products discovery, enzymology and biocatalysis as part of the BB4F project
