Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Aveiro, with research experience in microplastic contamination and oxidative stress. Completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Toxicology and Contamination at the University of Porto, where, at CIIMAR, she conducted a study investigating the temporal dynamics of microplastic contamination in farmed oysters from the Lima River estuary, alongside evaluating the effectiveness of depuration processes in mitigating these pollutants
