Course description

A two-day event tailored to PhD students at any stage of their journey, designed to support the transition to a wide range of career paths – from academia to industry and beyond. Participants will explore how to articulate the value of their doctorate, prepare targeted CVs, pitch themselves effectively, and use LinkedIn and job interview strategies to stand out. The event will end with a pitch contest and a social gathering.

Specific aims of the course

• Understand how to communicate your value as a PhD holder

• Learn to tailor CVs to different sectors (academia, industry, etc.)

• Improve personal presentation skills

• Build or enhance your LinkedIn presence

• Prepare for job interviews

• Practice pitching through a contest with awards
