Target Public: Interdisciplinary research teams aiming to explore novel ideas for radically new technologies.

Eligible applicants include:

Consortia: A minimum of three independent legal entities from different EU Member States or Associated Countries.

Single Applicants: For Pathfinder Challenges, single entities or smaller consortia are eligible.

Details: 

• Aims to support early-stage development of high-risk, high-reward research projects.
• Funding Scope: Supports early-stage development (Technology Readiness Levels 1-4) of future technologies.
• Grant Amount: Up to €3 million per project, covering 100% of eligible costs.
• Total Budget: €142 million allocated for this call.
• Application Deadline: May 21, 2025, at 17:00 Brussels time.
• Application Requirements: Proposals must demonstrate:
• Ambitious Vision: A long-term vision for a radically new technology with transformative potential.
• Scientific Breakthrough: Concrete, novel, and ambitious research targeting a technological breakthrough.
• High-Risk/High-Gain: A research approach that is high-risk but with the potential for high gain.
• How to Apply: Applications must be submitted electronically through the Funding & Tenders Portal before the deadline.
