Catarina Teixeira is a graduate in Aquatic Sciences (ICBAS-UP, 2000), with a MSc degree in Environmental Engineering in 2006 (FEUP), and PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2012 (ICBAS-UP). She has been a post-doctoral researcher at CIIMAR since 2013 and an Invited Auxiliary Professor at ICBAS-UP. Her main research interests focus on water quality (organic pollutants and nutrients) and the removal of nitrogen compounds from the aquatic environment and water treatment systems, processes, and microbial communities.
