João Reis has graduated in Biochemistry by the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. His journey at CIIMAR began during his MSc degree (Cell and Molecular Biology, FCUP) after joining the CNP group to develop his MSc thesis. During this period, he also enrolled as a Research Technician for the HALVERSITY project. After completing his MSc he joined the FattyCyanos project as a Researcher. Now, in is PhD he focuses on the biosynthesis of cyanobacterial natural products and enzymatic catalysis.
