PhD student funded by a BYT Fellowship within the Biology Doctoral Programme at the University of Porto. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Diversity and Ecology and a Master’s degree in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology. Her research has focused on the ecology of freshwater and marine phytoplankton. She previously contributed to the HALOBISE project at CIIMAR (BBE), investigating bloom dynamics of toxic marine and freshwater phytoplankton. Her PhD research focuses on ecosystem modelling informed by experimental investigations of how genetic diversity influences bloom dynamics in the toxic dinoflagellate Alexandrium minutum.
