Marta Monteiro obtained her PhD in Biology at FCUP, where she applied Fish nutrition and biotechnological tools to obtain functional ingredients based on micro- and macroalgae for aquafeeds. She is currently a post-doc researcher at CIIMAR, in the Nutrition, Growth and Quality of Fish (LANUCE), working in the development of new functional ingredients with stress mitigation properties and exploring the underlying mechanisms of fish stress response.
