Tiago Lopes has a BSc in Biology from University of Porto in 2015 and holds a MSc degree in Marine Sciences – Marine resources from ICBAS-UP since 2017. His research for MSc thesis was performed under a joint research between CIIMAR, SPAROS and GIFAS (Altantic salmon farm) and focused on Atlantic salmon immuno-nutrition. He is now employed by GIFAS, Norway, where he will conduct his Industrial PhD together with CIIMAR, Skretting, University of Nordland and Akvaplan Niva. His research focuses on the welfare improvement through immune-nutrition of lumpfish, a species used as biological control of sea lice in Atlantic salmon farming.
