Pharmacist from UFRJ, Brazil. During her MSc at LASSBio/UFRJ, Thaise investigated novel ALDH-2 inhibitors for chemical dependency. For her Ph.D. at the University of Porto, she studied lipid mediators in ovarian inflammation, focusing on female infertility and chalcones. Currently, she is a postdoc at the Laboratory of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry (FFUP) and CIIMAR, working on large-scale synthesis of anti-fouling compounds.
