Tomás F. Pinheiro holds a BSc in Genetics and Biotechnology from UTAD and an MSc in
Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution from the University of Porto. He has participated in
several projects at CIIMAR, including INDIMAR, SpongeREST, Ocean3R, ALGALUP, and SølKelp. He is currently a PhD student at CIIMAR and NIVA, working on climate-resilient restoration of kelp forests. His research interests focus on marine conservation, ecology, and habita restoration.
