CIIMAR’s Nautilus Seminar with Maria Coelho | Boca da Baleia
B2E CoLAB is a non-profit association that acts as a strategic partner in promoting the blue bioeconomy. Specializing in technical and strategic advice, it focuses on the valorization of living marine resources, marine biotechnology and sustainable aquaculture. With a strong blue literacy component, it also promotes the link between knowledge, innovation, the market and society. This session will present CoLAB’s mission, its main lines of action and the Fishmatter project, a platform it leads which aims to valorize marine by-products, promoting circularity and sustainability in the sector.
Maria Coelho is the Executive Coordinator of B2E CoLAB, where she leads innovation strategy and business development in the blue bioeconomy. Holding a PhD in Health Sciences and an international MBA, she combines experience in R&D, European funding and knowledge transfer. She has collaborated with academic and scientific institutions in Portugal and abroad, and worked on projects with international clients. Maria is also actively engaged in strategic planning, promoting sustainable, high-impact solutions for society and the economy.
