The ‘Effective PhD Meetings and Efficient Feedback in Doctoral Supervision’ workshop aims to present and discuss strategies to make supervision meetings more efficient for both supervisors and students.
Supervising PhD students is a core dimension of academic work. Holding supervision meetings can occupy a large percentage of our schedules, however, both supervisors and students often avoid them (in favor of emails, for example). On the other hand, PhD students may feel that the meetings are not fruitful or even useful. On the other, supervisors may feel that PhD students do not make the most of the time allocated for the meeting.
The session will be held at IPMA, on May 29th, from 9:30am to 12:30pm. It will be conducted in portuguese.
