Essential Cybersecurity: Phishing, Passwords, and Best Practices

This training focuses on the most common digital threats encountered in everyday work, such as phishing attacks and vulnerabilities in web platforms (WordPress). Practical solutions for secure credential management using Bitwarden and the organization’s internal tools will be presented.

 


GENERAL INFORMATIONS:

 

The ‘Essential Cybersecurity: Phishing, Passwords, and Best Practices’ session will be held at IPMA, Matosinhos, on November 13th, from 9:30am to 11:30am. The session will be delivered in portuguese.

 

Registrations are open until November 11th through this link. It is exclusively for the CIIMAR community.

 

 



DESCRIPTION:

This session aims to raise awareness and train employees to identify social engineering threats, promote digital hygiene practices, and ensure the proper use of password managers to strengthen the security of institutional communications and credentials.

 

Trainer: Tiago Macedo Pinto

 

Currently IT Infrastructure Manager at Garland, where he leads the Systems and Service Desk teams. He holds a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and is a former IT Technician at CIIMAR, where he was responsible for developing the institution’s Whistleblower Channel
