Natália Silva (PhD Marine Biotechnology and Aquaculture, 2025) is a researcher of the CYANOMETAL project, aiming to study cyanobacterial metal chelators as a multifunctional solution for Alzheimer’s disease. Her main areas of research include the isolation and structural elucidation of bioactive natural compounds, assays in vivo (zebrafish), ex-vivo and in vitro (cells-based) and the study of the molecular mechanisms of compounds in health disorder’s.
