Nuno Gonçalo de Carvalho Ferreira is an Assistant Researcher in the Animal Genetics and Evolution (AGE) group at CIIMAR, conducting his research under the theme “Resilience for a Sustainable Future.” He has published more than 30 manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and has received several awards and distinctions. His research portfolio includes around 20 projects, generating over €3.2 million in the last ten years. His main research areas are Environmental Sciences, Biodiversity Conservation, and Molecular Biology, with an emphasis on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and support for Indigenous groups and local populations in LMICs. He has been invited as a reviewer for several project calls, including H2020–MSCA and the UK Royal Society.
