Diana Isabel Rodrigues Sousa

Diana Sousa holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Aveiro. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Microbiology at the same institution. At CIIMAR her work focuses on studying the diversity and functions of microbial communities on the Arctic Ocean ice platform.

Francisca da Silva Oliveira

Francisca Oliveira obtained a BSc degree in Biology by Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (2023). Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Cellular and Molecular Biology and doing an internship at CIIMAR, with support from a BYT+ scholarship and joining the “Microbial Biodegradation and Bioprospection” research group.    

David Manuel da Silva Beira Oliveira Neves

David Neves holds a degree in Environmental Health from the School of Health (2023) and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Toxicology and Environmental Contaminations at ICBAS. He is currently working on his thesis which focuses on understanding the transgenerational epigenetic effects in amphipods exposed to emerging contaminants.
