Paula Figueira graduated in Chemistry with minor in Management in 2008 and she obtained her master degree in Analytical Chemistry and Quality Control in 2010, at University of Aveiro, Portugal. Currently she is enrolled in her doctorate degree in Chemistry at the University of Aveiro, integrating the group of “Environmental Chemistry” of LAQV-REQUIMTE and the group of “Contaminant pathways and interactions with marine organisms” at CIIMAR.
Her currently scientific interests are the removal of potentially toxic elements from natural waters based in magnetic and biosorption processes and also the use of bio-residues for remediation of waters seeking their further reuse.
