Paula Salgado is a marine biologist whose major interests are Biological Oceanography, Microbial Ecology and Biogeochemistry. She has done previous research on the regulation of planktonic communities in a coastal lagoon system and is currently studying the dynamics between the marine nitrogen and sulfur biogeochemical cycles from a molecular and ecological standpoint.
