InsectERA aims to enable the industrialization and commercialization of innovative insect-based products, both in the food sector (animal and human nutrition) and in other industries (cosmetics or bioplastics) or in the innovative bioremediation sector.

The Mobilizing Agenda covers the entire innovation cycle, from R&D to the manufacture and sale of products on the market, based on technologically advanced production. It represents a set of projects and business initiatives aimed at fostering the circular economy and leveraging the development of new products, services and solutions with high added value.
Among the Agenda’s general objectives are the creation of three new factories for the production of insect-derived products, the creation of a chitosan production plant and a logistics center, which is expected to generate 150 new jobs. Also included are investments in construction or adaptation work, the purchase of production, processing and biodigestion equipment, quality control laboratory equipment, packaging and the installation of solar panels. This investment programme is expected to lead to the industrialization of at least 100 new insect-based products, processes and services for the market.
