Course – Introduction to Ecological Modelling 2024 (IEM 2024) | 19-23 Feb 2024

Invited lecturers: Gonçalo Marques (Invited Assistant Professor, Instituto Superior Técnico), Cândida Gomes Vale (PhD, CIBIO).

Course overview: Ecological models are useful tools to understand natural systems and predict their variations over time as they describe organisms and ecosystems and account for simultaneous effects of multiple stressors.

Target audience:

  • Students (undergraduate, Msc, PhD), researchers and other professionals with interests in environmental modelling.
  • Previously knowledge in ecological modelling is NOT required
  • All classes will be in-person
  • The course will be taught in English

 

Fee: 150 € (90 € for CIIMAR/UP members)

Limited to 15 positions
