CIIMAR will host the 8th Congress of the International Society for Applied Phycology, which will take place from June 16 to 21, 2024, in Porto, Portugal at the Alfândega Congress Centre.

The ISAP 2024 conference will have a special focus on “Algae 2030: Challenges and Opportunities”, offering an excellent forum for discussions and establishing new partnerships.

Registrations for the 8th ISAP Congress is open, with an early bird fee available until 30 March 2024, and a special fee for ISAP subscribers and EABA members.

Abstract submissions is also open, until 18 February 2024. Share your research, insights, and innovative ideas on the following themes:

• Biodiversity and applications of algae
• Climate change impact on algae
• Algae and energy
• Algae biorefineries
• Algae for food and feed
• Algae and bioremediation

We also invite you to submit a Special Session until 31 January that will be run in parallel to the regular programme during the congress.
