Ana Patrícia Soares Pinto

Marine & Freshwater Projects Co-ordinator, Conservation Programmes, Zoological Society of London.
Ana works on a range of marine conservation projects that focus on community-based initiatives. Her project areas include ZSL’s Our Sea Our Life project (working with communities in Mozambique on the co-management of artisanal fisheries), and the Net-Works programme (empowering coastal communities in the developing world to collect and sell discarded fishing nets, which are recycled to make carpets). She holds a bachelor’s degree in Ocean Science from the University of Plymouth and is undertaking a master’s degree in Education for Sustainability with London South Bank University.
