Victor Ramos (PhD) research focuses on the field of marine renewable energy (wave and tidal stream energy), dealing with some crucial aspects such as: resource, characterisation, performance of different technologies of energy converters (tidal and wave energy converters), potential impacts on the marine environment (wave climate, transient and residual estuarine dynamics, sediment transport and turbulence conditions) and techono-economic optimization of marine energy farms
