Ricardo Maia is a student in the Master’s Degree in Ecology and Environment (FCUP-UP) who is developing his thesis within the scope of the Microchar project, exploring the capabilities of multiple bacterial strains to degrade emerging pollutants, namely pharmaceuticals, their compatibility for forming consortia, and their incorporation into biochar structures. His academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences and Technologies (FCUP-UP).
