The CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research - is a research and advanced training institution of the University of Porto. Its mission is to develop high-quality research, promote technological development and support public policies in the area of Marine and Environmental Sciences.
Joana Reis Almeida, Post-Doc researcher at CIIMAR, has recently won the Rifcon Best Paper Award 2013, in the scope of the SETAC Europe Annual Congress.
The CIIMAR will be awarded with the prize "Prémio LIDE Conhecimento Mar 2013" on May 28 at The Yeatman Hotel, during the first Gala Awards LIDE MAR 2013.

In the framework of the project ARCOPOL plus, CIIMAR and Instituto Superior Técnico joint efforts to organize the International Workshop on Environmental Impact Assessment and Response to Accidental Marine Pollution.
